In January 2016, Full Pint Brewing paid homage to Pittsburgh native son Andy Warhol with their inaugural release of HOPism, an Imperial IPA that tips the scales at just over 11% ABV. HOPism, its name derived from Warhol’s POPism book that portrayed his personal view of the Pop phenomenon in New York in the 1960s, was wildly successful upon its release and featured several events throughout the Pittsburgh region to introduce it to the market.
With 2017 now underway, it’s time for HOPism to make a big return to Pittsburgh and Full Pint is ready to bring it your way with a slew of tapping celebrations unfolding over the first quarter of the new year.
HOPism features a dank, piney, tropical aroma with hints of pineapple and mango. It boasts a rich orange color and contains vivid flavors of pine, mango, and papaya. It has a great balance of hop bitterness and tropical notes that make it an easy beer to drink. However, at 11%, proceed with caution!
HOPism will be making its way to a tap near you by next week. Check out some of the events Full Pint has lined up at craft beer destinations throughout Pittsburgh:
