Gilfillan Farm to Barnyard Beer Benefit
Kick off summer with great food and beer for a great cause
Upper St. Clair, PA – The Gilfillan Farm will be hosting the Barnyard Beer Benefit on May 27th from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Located at the corner of Route 19 and Orr Road, the event boasts an evening of entertainment that includes craft beer, local food and live music by Matador Fish. Sponsored by the Bethel/St. Clair Rotary, all proceeds for the event will be donated to the Gilfillan Farm Restoration Project.
Beverages will be served from Helltown Brewing, VooDoo Brewery, Southern Tier, Insurrection AleWorks, Mindful Brewing Company and Spoonwood Brewing. Guests will nosh on a variety of fare from Atria’s, Ditka’s, Juniper Grill, Foodoo Truck, Olive Oil’s Pizzeria, Whole Foods and Christina’s Confections.
Tickets are almost sold out but currently still available at https://beerbenefit.eventbrite.com. The ticket price for the event is $55 and includes food and beverages. About the Gilfillan Farm: The Gilfillan Farm is a premier property of the Historical Society of Upper St. Clair (HSUSC). John Gilfillan built the house in 1855-57 and the Gilfillan’s lived there until the passing of Margaret Gilfillan in 2001. Margaret left the property and buildings with the direction that the farm be used to “educate the public as to life on a traditional farm in Pennsylvania” and that HSUSC “utilize the property as an appropriate historical, cultural or educational center and landmark”. It is HSUSC mission to operate, restore and preserve this registered National Historic Place.
