You don’t need me to tell you that, as consumers and enthusiasts of adult beverages of all shapes, flavors, and sizes, we live in exciting times. Craft beer is plentiful. Craft whiskey is as well. Mead, cider, wine…always on point. Men and women from all walks of life are bringing incredible beverages to the market and we, as consumers, get to reap the benefits.
With the abundance of these products continuing to climb, the chase to get your hands on a limited or special release has become as much of a hobby as enjoying it. Plus, with mobile canning and bottling solutions becoming more prevalent, breweries are able to produce small runs of beer and sell them direct to their fans for at-home consumption. And if you don’t think beer enthusiasts aren’t aggressively looking to stock their fridge with the latest and greatest beer to hit the aluminum or 22oz. bomber, please attend a can release at Dancing Gnome on a Saturday morning and report back to me.
To help encapsulate the number of breweries bringing you special releases on a monthly basis, I’ve put together a schedule that delivers the information you need so you can schedule to pick up your at-home stock. This feature will run at the beginning of each month and provide a schedule of what’s going to be released, how much of it will be available, and when and where you can get it.
As this feature continues to grow in the months ahead, I am looking to include more breweries, as well as distilleries, wineries, meaderies and cider houses in the mix as well to give you a well-rounded wealth of knowledge for product releases to add to your calendar. In addition, all Pittsburgh libations organizations are welcome to submit info to me to include in upcoming features. The idea is to help everyone connect with these products, bring them home to enjoy, trade with friends to continue expanding the reach of Pittsburgh products, and aid in putting Pittsburgh on the map as the best adult beverage scene in the United States!
