Eleventh Hour Brewing Brings You Oktoberfest Beginning This Weekend

Eleventh Hour Brewing Company offers guests an Oktoberfest fete 

Featuring a special on the newly released Bayernhof Marzen

Pittsburgh, PA – Patrons of Eleventh Hour Brewing Co. are invited to celebrate the centuries old, Bavarian tradition of Oktoberfest starting this Thursday, September 28^th through Sunday, October 8^th. The brewery will offer guests the newly released Bayernhof Marzen, named after the Bayernhof Museum of Pittsburgh and Eleventh Hour’s first officially named beer, at a discounted price. It’ll be served up in a traditional German style mug giving customers the true Oktoberfest feel. In addition, Eleventh Hour will be offering Pittsburgh’s very own “The Pretzel Shop” of Southside’s pretzels with homemade beer cheese on the side while classic German music plays in the background.

Guests can join in with the employees and dress the part while taking photos in a “photo booth” area that will be set up with a Bavarian-esque backdrop and offer some fun props to spice up their selfies.

As the autumn leaves burn bright, we see the summer ales start their hibernation and richer fall offerings begin to appear. The Bayrenhof Marzen is the perfect transition into the cooler fall months. It was brewed in the traditional Marzen style and consists of a slightly darker, more caramel color than the current Oktoberfest beers.

“We fermented this with an Augustiner lager yeast and then cellared it at a crisp 32 degrees,” said Matt McMahon, owner and head brewer at Eleventh Hour Brewing Co. “Up front it has a faint noble hop aroma and deep red with orange hues, finished off with a caramel colored head. The taste will be slightly sweet with mild alcohol warmth and a smooth clean finish,” he continued.

Eleventh Hour Brewing Co. is open Thursday and Friday nights from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., Saturdays noon – 10:00 p.m. and Sundays 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The brewery is located at 3711 Charlotte St, Pittsburgh, PA.
